my math homework tells me to find the area of a circle using it's circumference. the circumference given was 6π yd. (6 pi yard). can someone explain to me how to find the area?

C = 2 r pi

6 pi = 2 r pi Diwide both sides with 2 pi

3 = r

r = 3 yd


A = r ^ 2 pi

A = 3 ^2 pi

A = 9 pi yd ^ 2
