question: if y is proportional to x, and that y=6 when x=12,
(A)express y in terms of x,
(B)and find to value of x when y=12.

answer: (A) x=y/3
(B) x=4

is what i did correct?

Neither of your answers is correct.
A. y = kx
6 = k*12
Therefore k = 1/2
y = x/2
B. If y=12, then
12 = x/2
x = 24.
