Please help I cannot get these problems, x-4y=14 and -x+3y=-11 2x-y=-3 and -5x+y=9

+x-4y=+14
-x+3y=-11

0 -1y=3
so
y = -3
then
x-4(-3) = 14
x + 12 = 14
x = 2
