8x=84
3(10.5)+14+5(10.5)-8
31.5+14+72.5-8
This ends up equaling 110, but it needs to equal 90. What am I doing wrong?

I have no clue what your expression is or what you are doing, so I will just complete your arithmetic
3(10.5)+14+5(10.5)-8
= 31.5 + 14 + 52.5 - 8
= 90
3(10.5)+14+5(10.5)-8
= 31.5 + 14 + 52.5 - 8
= 90

3(10.5)+14+5(10.5)-8
31.5+14+72.5-8
31.5 + 14 + 52.5 - 8 = 90
Did you subtract the 8?
31.5+14+72.5-8
31.5 + 14 + 52.5 - 8 = 90
Did you subtract the 8?

The middle line has a typo. It should be
31.5 + 14 + 52.5 - 8
31.5 + 14 + 52.5 - 8
