    That is the definition of a particular function of x, f(x). What is your question?

    I came up with f=-5, -7 and -1 and now I am lost. Thanks.

    Straight line of form y = m x + b
here m = -2
b = -5
When x = 0, y = b
so mark the point (0,-5)
now the slope is -2 so from (0,-5) go right one and down five and mark point (1,-10)
Draw a straight line through those two points.

    Would it be a solid line or a dotted line?
