did you mean:
4w = 5x, 2x = 3y ???
if so,
form 4w = 5x, ----> w = 5x/4
from 2x = 3y , ----> x = 3y/2
put this back into
w = 5x/4 = (5/4)(3y/2) = 15y/8
then w : x : y = 15y/8 : 3y/2 : y
= 15/8 : 3/2 : 1
= 15 : 12 : 8
4w = 5x, 2x = 3y ???
if so,
form 4w = 5x, ----> w = 5x/4
from 2x = 3y , ----> x = 3y/2
put this back into
w = 5x/4 = (5/4)(3y/2) = 15y/8
then w : x : y = 15y/8 : 3y/2 : y
= 15/8 : 3/2 : 1
= 15 : 12 : 8
