how to convert this from rectangular to polar?


r=cos theta

remember the formulas I gave you in your last post regarding this ?

r = √(x^2 + y^2) and x = rcosØ

so r = cosØ is
r = x/r
r^2 = x
x^2 + y^2 = x

which is the equation of a circle.
