Weigh out 1 mole NaOH (moles = grams/molar mass),place in a 1 L volumetric flask, dissolve completely in a little water, make to the mark, mix thoroughly.

I misread the decimal point. You want 0.1M soln so weigh out 0.1 mole NaOH. The remainder of the instructions are ok.
