No, again 168 is the total. So if you take 168-117(Which is the odds for winning) you get 51. So your odds against winning are 51/168

If in a contest, 3 people can win, and 5 loose, the probablility of winning is 3/8
The odds are stated to be 3:5
It is a crazy system. Bet on a horse 1:1, and you have .5 probabliltiy of winning.
So here, 117 winners, 168 loosers, so the probability of loosing is 168/(168+117), and the odds of loosing is 168:117
