Magnesium perchlorate is Mg(ClO4)2. You can see from the formula that there is/are 1 atom/molecule Mg(ClO4)2, 2 Cl atoms and 8 O atoms. Therefore, in 8.80 moles there must be 8.80x1 mole Mg, 8.80 x 2 Cl and 8.80 x 8 O atoms.
