looking to reduce to lowest term
1) 3+x(4+x)/3+x i got 4+x
2)3a^2-13a-10/5+4a-a^2 i got could not reduce any help would be great

I will try #2 but really need parentheses so I can tell what is top and what is bottom.
I assume you mean
(3a^2-13a-10)/(-a^2+4a+5)
factor everything
(3a+2)(a-5) / (-1)(a-5)(a+1)
a-5 is common so
(3a+2) / (-a-1)
