If you make a glass in the shape of a right circular cone (martini glass) how wide would the glass be if it is 4 inches tall and again holds 12 ounces?

one US fluid ounce is equivalent to 1.804 cubic inch


volume=1/3 base area*height
12*1.804=1/3 PI (diameter/2)^2 * 4

solve for diameter.

diameter=2 sqrt (12*3*1.804*4)
