This is a typical acid + base reaction to form a salt + H2O.
2HIO2(aq) + Ba(OH)2(aq) ==> Ba(IO2)2 + 2H2O
Net ionic is
2H^+(aq) + 2OH^-(aq) ==> 2H2O(l)
