I have a revision question which i do not understand please help me out:
45. Explain the following observations: motor oil pours from a can more slowly than water; however, in a jar, the meniscus of motor oil is flatter than the meniscus of water.

The answer sheet talks about viscosity, i do not understand that please help me

Viscosity is a measure of internal friction in a flowing liquid. The shape of a meniscus is related to the attraction of the liquid to the wall of the container. They two different things.
