Area of a rectangle = length * width
therefore:
5x^2-31x-28 = (5x + 4)* the other side
or
The other side
= (5x^2-31x-28)/(5x+4)
= (5x+4)(x-7) /(5x+4)
= x-7
therefore:
5x^2-31x-28 = (5x + 4)* the other side
or
The other side
= (5x^2-31x-28)/(5x+4)
= (5x+4)(x-7) /(5x+4)
= x-7
