(1/7x^2 - 2/5)(1/2x + 1/2)
to do this, first multiply the 1/7x by the two terms on the second parenthesis (that is, 1/2x and 1/2). then also multiply -2/5 by the terms on the second parenthesis. and add them all.
(1/7x^2)*(1/2x + 1/2) = (1/14)x^3+(1/14)x^2
(-2/5)(1/2x + 1/2) = (-1/5)x - 1/5
adding them:
(1/14)x^3+(1/14)x^2 + (-1/5)x - 1/5
hope this helps~ :)
