w^4-6w^2-2=0
(w²)^2;-6(w²)-2 = 0
put x=w²
x^2-6x-2=0
Apply the quadratic formula:
x=(6±√(36+8))/2
=3±√(11)
Therefore
w=±√(3±√(11))

(for a total of 4 solutions)
