How many years does each Governor serve? Is it 5 years?

There are fifty governors. One governor for each state. Each state can choose by its state Constitution the length of the term of office of the governor. Most, if not all, of the states have a four year term of office for their governors.

It may be different for each state. In California, for example, the governor serves a term of 4 years for a maximum of two terms.

Although the states determine the terms of their governors, I believe most or all of them serve for 4 years in each term. Some states limit their governors to 2 terms.
