Division in other bases is very much similar to division in base 10, except that the multiplication and subtraction have to be done (mentally) in the given base.

This forum does not permit lining up digits, so a long division demonstration is not possible.

(Note that the division (2252÷23 in base 7) was not done correctly, because 6*237 is 2047, not 2037. Consequently, the answer should have been 667 with a remainder of 5).
