Solve by elimination method.

5x+y=1
10x+12y=2

Please Help I can't seem to figure this one out.

Multiply first equation by 2.

10x + 2y = 2
10x + 12y = 2

Subtract first equation from the second.

10y = 0
y = 0

10x = 2

x = 1/5
