note that when combining terms with variables, we just add the numerical coefficient of the same variable (and exponent).
here, we can only combine 7t and 10t. thus
9t^4 + 7t - 45 t^3 + 10t
9t^4 + 17t - 45 t^3
rearranging,
9t^4 - 45 t^3 + 17t
