Okay, so the problem is..
x^2+6=13
Would I just subtract the 6 from the thirteen..
So. x^2=7
Divide by 2?
I'm kinda stuck from that point

x^2=7
take the square root of each side.
x= +-sqrt7
take the square root of each side.
x= +-sqrt7
