What are some of the unique challenges facing Native American (Indian American) families, as described in pp. 471-487 in Ferguson? (Shifting the Center: Understanding Contemporary Families by Susan Ferguson) How is ageing seen differently in the Apache community than it is outside? Finally, do you agree that Anglo-American “grandparenting” is really so different from what takes place in Apache families, and, if so, are there any problems with that?
