our lab experiment was Isolationa nd Identification of the Major Constituent of Clove Oil. We know the major component is Eugenol, but our professor wants us to write the equations for the extraction of eugenol from the distillate with dichloromethane and then the equation for acidifying the eugenol in aqueous sodium hydroxide with 3M HCl. I'm stuck and don't know how to write these equations. can you help?
