A hydrogen atom initially in its ground state (n = 1) absorbs a photon and ends up in the state for which n = 3.

What is the energy of the absorbed photon?

*I found the energy of the atom at the ground state and at n = 3. I subtracted the final from the initial to get a value of 9.1 eV but it wasn't correct. Am I doing this correctly?

13.6ev(1/1^2-1/3^2) =13.6ev *9/10
