Please double-check the typing in C. I can't tell until this is fixed.

In active sentences, the subject is doing the action of the verb.

In passive sentences, the subject is not doing the action of the verb.

OK -- tell me which of those sentences has a subject that is NOT doing the action of the verb.

Hint: It's not D.
Answered by robin
Then it would be A right
Answered by Writeacher
No.

John ate the hamburger. <~~active voice

The hamburger was eaten by John. <~~passive voice

Which is it? B or C?
Answered by Christopher
I would say A there is no action needing to be performed. B is the action of the subject wanting something C is the action the subject is doing. A has no action being performed just making a statement.
Answered by robin
I said A so what is the correct answer
Answered by Writeacher
C is right.

You really need to study what "active" and "passive" mean. You're incorrect in trying to determine this concept.
