Im wandering whether these two palaces are connected to each other?

Or are they two different Palaces?

They are not connected, but are across the street from each other.

Really? Are not considered as famous as The Louvre and the other types of monuments?

Although I've been to the Louvre several times, I'd rather do other things than visit art museums.
