The two circles have equations x^ + (y-3)^2 = 49 and x^2 + (y-17)^2 =49. find the equation of the larger circle.

both have radius 7. What do you mean larger circle? Are there circles surrounded by a larger? If so, then the radius must be when x is zero, y goes from
y-3=-7 or y=-4 to
y-17=+7 or y=24
diameter= 28, radius= 14
area= PI (r)^2
