Question
The total pressure in an 11.1L automobile tire is 40psi at 13 degree celcius. By how much does the pressure in the tire rise if it warms to a temperature of 56 degrees celcius and the volume remains at 11.1L ?
Answers
Note the correct spelling of celsius.
Use (P1/T1) = (P2/T2)
In most problems you would need to change the psi pressure to scientific units; however, I don't think that is necessary in this problem. T must be in kelvin.
