what is the answer for this a car starts from rest at 0.8 meters pre seconds for 10 seconds and contiunes for a further 20 seconds what is the distance travelled

You must have misquoted the question.
It cannot start out rest at 0.8 meters per second. Perhaps you meant that is was at rest and accelerating at 0.8 m/s^2 for ten seconds. Then (I assume) it continutes another 20 seconds without accelerating, at constant velocity of 0.8*10 = 8 m/s.
Add the distances that it travels while accelerating and while the velocity is constant.
