Explanation of why the student does or does not agree with this statement: “Common sense and compassion in the workplace has been replaced by litigation.” i disagree because if they don't meet the requ=iure menrts then why hire them, what do you think is thsat right? how can i strech that into 300 words?

A few examples from my own experiences:

I sign tons of paper work when I have my taxes done, see a doctor, or sign a lease on my apartment. All of these documents are the result of regulations enforced by the government. They are probably necessary -- but are a nuisance.

so even though we may find these things a a problem and waste of time to use these laws ands regulations are good so that the company, customers etc. do not get sued for not following the laws? so i woulod agree because it makes common sense to do it but it is taken over by if you don't then the laws and regulations will get you? is that right.....

Be sure to research the various laws and government agencies that are suggested in your assignment. You need to document your opinions with facts from those regulations.
