I am doing a stats study and im stuck on what test to perform.
Please look at my subject and advise me..
I am testing to see whether a person that is best in math and science will be able remember more numbers than letters and if a person that is better in language and history will be able to remember more letters than numbers.
I have all my data and I only asked which area of study they were better at and tested for how many characters of two sequences they could remember. Just seeing my data, there is correlation but I need to prove this statistically. Please help!!

What is your measure of being "best" or "better"? Is there a clear variation in terms of that criterion? If so, you could use a chi-square test with the highest scorers in both areas and their memory scores.
