Which statistical measure would you use if an outlier is present (mean, median, mode, or rang)? Explain.

Functioning as a balance point (like a teeter-totter), the mean is most influenced by outlying scores. The range also is very effected by outlying scores. With outliers, the distribution is likely to be skewed, so the most central measure of central tendency would be the median.
