shane wants to paint the outside of his house, the area to be painted is 217m2. five litres of paint will cover an area of 62m2. how many litres of paint will shane need to paint the outside of his house!

217/62 = 3.5 five L cans
However, do you think you can buy a 1/2 of a five L can ?
More than likely Shane will have to buy 4 of the 5L cans
(he will need 17.5 L,
so he has to buy 3 large cans and 3 smaller 1L cans
My experience is that it would probably cost more to buy 3 1L cans than one large 5L can)
