Asked by John
Can someone tell me sites (not a search engine or wikipedia!) where I can find information on James Tissot's "The Concert" and "The Young Woman in a Boat" art pieces? I need to know the themes of these paintings, but I can't seem to find any relevant websites.

I don't need to know what the paintings look like and the blog seems useless.

The assignment is clearly for YOU to write about what YOU think the themes of these paintings are. Here is a website that may give you better insight into what a theme is:

Another way to think of theme is to ask yourself what the "hidden message" is that the author/painter wants you to understand from his/her work.
