Stanley
2x^2-x-3=0
first step: 2*2x^-x-3=0
4x^-x-3=0
(4x^-4x)+(3x-3)=0
4x(x-1)+3(x-1)
(4x+3)(x-1)=0
(4x+3)=0 (x-1)=0
4x+3=0 X-1=0
-3 -3 -1 -1
4x=-3 x=-1
x=-3/4
Therefore, X=(-3/4, -1)
