Is x+6 the numerator?
Or do you mean x+ (6/27) = 1/x ?

If (x+6)/27 = 1/x, then
x^2 + 6x = 27
x^2 +6x -27 = 0
(x+9)(x-3) = 0

x = -9 or +3.
