What do you want done with it ?
expand it or factor further?

It would make sense to factor it
(x-1)(x^3 + x^2 + x)
=(x-1)(x)(x^2 - x + 1)
= x(x^3 - 1)

( you would have to know the difference of cubes factoring pattern)
It says to subtract it..
