Are you talking about the conversions formula to change Celcius to Fahrenheit and vice versa ?

C = (5/9)(F - 32) and F = (9/5)C + 32

Where does your confusion arise?

are you changing 50 F to C° ?

then C = (5/9)(50-32)
= (5/9)(18)
= 10°
