The x-intercept of a line is the point at which the line crosses the x axis. ( i.e. where the y value equals 0 )

In this case :

- 4 x + 9 * 0 = - 36

- 4 x = - 36 Divide both sides by -4

x = - 36 / - 4 = 9

x - intercept point (9,0)

The z-intercept of a line is the point at which the line crosses the z axis. ( i.e. where the x value equals 0 )

In this case >

- 4 * 0 + 9 y = - 36

9 y = - 36 Divide both sides bz 9

y = - 36 / 9 = - 4

y i intercept point ( 0,-4)
