5. Find the x and y intercepts of each linear equation. Be sure to write your answers as ordered pairs.

y = 3x - 6
6y = -x + 2

The y intercepts is when x=0
So put in x=0 in each, and solve for y.

The x intercepts is when y=0, put in y=0 and solve for x.

I will be happy to critique your thinking.

y=-6 x=2
but for the second one what o I do?

do exactly the same thing, put y=0 and solve for x, on putting then x=0 and solving for y, you may have to divide both sides by six.
