How could an adolescent (aged 12-17) face Erikson’s crisis of Generativity vs. Stagnation, which is typically experienced in middle adulthood (2 pts)?

I've seen adolescents with such a strong sense of their own importance, especially in sports, that they don't appear to care about anyone or anything else.
