How do I figure out how to write the lewis symbol for the following
A. Br
B. Br-
C. Sr
D. Sr2+

Place electrons (it's usually done in pairs) around the atom. Use just the electrons in the outer shell. Therefore, for Br you will have 7 electrons, for Br^- you will have 8. Sr will have 2 and Sr^2+ will have none.
