A bag contains five white marbles and one green marble. The marbles are randomly selected one at a time. What are the odds of picking the green marble on the first selection?

1/6 possibilities. Numerator stays the same when converting possibilities to odds. Subtract the numerator from the denominator, so 6-1=5. Numerator stays at 1 and denominator is now 5.
