A runner X ran the mile race in 4.25 sec. Another runner Y requires 4.55 sec to run the distance. If they start out together and maintain their normal speeds, how far apart will they be at the finish of the race?

V1 = 1600M / 4.55s = 351.65m/s = Mr X's speed.
At the end of 4.25s, Mr.Y has run 1600
meters.
During the same time, Mr. X runs:
d = 351.65m/s * 4.25s = 1494.5 meters.
1600 -1494.5 = 105.5m apart at end of race.
V1 = 1600M / 4.55s = 351.65m/s = Mr X's speed.
At the end of 4.25s, Mr.Y has run 1600
meters.
During the same time, Mr. X runs:
d = 351.65m/s * 4.25s = 1494.5 meters.
