A room is 12 feet by 16 feet. on a scale drawing the 12-foot wall is 4 inches long. how long will the 16-foot wall be?(explain how you got answer)

use the proportion
12 ft/4 in = 16 ft/x in
12x = 64
x = 64/12 = 16/3
so on your drawing the 16 ft wall would be represented by 5 1/3 inches.
