Your equation is not complete.
6x + = 9?
write an equation of the line containing the given point and perpendicular to the given line (6,7);6x+=9
I am having a terrible time figuring out the last part. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Sorry, I'm stressing badly. The equation is (6,7);6x+y=9. Thank you kindly.
(6,7);6x+y=9.
y = mx + b
6x + y = 9
y = -6x + 9
m = -6
m1*m2 = -1
-6*m2 = -1
m2 = 1/6
So, the slope of the perpendicular line is 1/6.
y = 1/6 x + b
Now find b with point (6,7).
y = 1/6 x + b
7 = 1/6 (6) + b
7 = 6/6 + b
7 = 1 + b
b = 6
y = 1/6 x + b
y = 1/6 x + 6
y = mx + b
6x + y = 9
y = -6x + 9
m = -6
m1*m2 = -1
-6*m2 = -1
m2 = 1/6
So, the slope of the perpendicular line is 1/6.
y = 1/6 x + b
Now find b with point (6,7).
y = 1/6 x + b
7 = 1/6 (6) + b
7 = 6/6 + b
7 = 1 + b
b = 6
y = 1/6 x + b
y = 1/6 x + 6
Was ist der dritte Teil von x?
