Question

3x - 6 = 3x/4

With my working out I got x = 24/15

The answers say that x = 8/3

I've tried it several times and got the same answer.

IDK whether im right or wrong, please help!! thanks

3x - 6 = 3x/4
Multiply both sides by 4.

12x - 24 = 3x
9x = 24
x = 24/9 = 2 2/3 = 8/3
