How does the immune system help maintain homeostasis? Help me please :(

It helps protect the body from disease; collects fluid lost from blood vessels and returns it to the circulatory system.
Basically, it keeps the blood in it's correct place(s), keeping the body's internal (and external) environment stable (which is homeostasis).
