how do i do it with fractions?

I actually had the same problem like that once too. With fractions, this is how you do it.

For ex. Say you had 8/4.
Divide 8 by 4, and you will get 2. Therefore your y-intercept is 2, and u plot that on the graph. Just divide the fractions and you will get your y-intercept. Don't confuse it with Slope.
